Try everything.

I know I have a lot more exploring to do, but for now this is what I've enjoyed.

"Taking a wrong turn allows you to see landscapes you wouldn't otherwise have seen." - Rick Rubin

My first love is Acrylic.

I love the pressure I am placed with when it comes to how quick the paint dries when blending. It helps me get lost and just create without thinking, about what I am trying to say. I’ve learned through time that when you try too hard to create you don’t organically tell your story.

My second love is Watercolor.

If you are an artist and have yet to play around with watercolor, I highly encourage you to. There is something so satisfying about how the colors perfectly blend and bleed together. I enjoy the fluidity of the medium because it is less predictable. Once you figure out how to balance control and freedom while using watercolors, you will often create a masterpiece by accident, rather than on purpose, which is what I love.

My third love is Oil.

I have yet to truly explore this love, but quite frankly it was love at first site. Oil paint allows me to develop a painting gradually which is something I am not use to. To be able to go back to a painting I started a week prior and still be able to blend without recreating the color is LOVE. I've recently explored oil sticks and the connection is real. Building texture and uniquely layering is my favorite right now, it's love.
